Rudra Abhishek Pooja

Rudra Abhishek meaning is that the holy bath of the Shivling which is completed with offerings of a sacred mixture of liquids like Milk, Ganga water, Honey, Curd, Aromatic oils, Flowers, etc. Chanting of Mantras/hymns is an integral a part of performing the Rudra Abhishek. Lord Shiva is worshipped as Shivling (Shiva Lingam). Lord Shiva has many names and Rudra is one among them. The Rudra manifestation of Lord Shiva is fierce and is that of the destroyer. Rudra Abhishek is taken into account highly significant amongst Hindus. The vibrations created during pooja are crammed with positive energy.

The first chapter of Rudrashtadhyayi is named ‘Shivasankalpa Sukta’, during this chapter, the mind of the seeker should be crammed with auspicious thoughts. This chapter is devoted to Ganeshji, the primary mantra of this chapter is that the famous mantra of Sriganesh – “Gangnam Tva Ganapati Hawamhe Priyanan and Priapati Hawamhe Nidhinan and Nidhipati Hawaii. 

The second chapter of Rudrashtadhyayi is devoted to Lord Vishnu, it’s 16 mantras of ‘Purusha Sukta’, whose deity is Virat Purush. Shodashopchar worship of all the deities is completed with the mantras of Purusha Sukta.

Mahalaxmi mantras are the deity of the third chapter. This chapter is named ‘Apatireth Sukta’. By worshiping Indra through its mantras, enemies and competitors will be destrolyed.

The fourth chapter is understood as Maitra Sukta. Its mantras have a gorgeous description and praise of Lord Surya.

The principal chapter of Rudrashtadhyayi is that the fifth, it’s 66 mantras. it’s called ‘Shatrudriya’, ‘Rudradhyay’ or ‘Rudrasukta’. Shatrudriya may be a a part of the Yajurveda which mentions the names of Rudra with 100 or more names and praises Rudra to him. all types of sorrows are destroyed by the central worship of the Lord the entire annihilation of sorrows is named salvation.

The sixth chapter of Rudrashtadhyayi is named ‘Mahathir’, during this chapter ‘Mahamrityunjaya Mantra’ is ॐ Trimbakan Yajamahe Sajandhin Vindhyavardhanam. Urvarukamiv Bandhananamotriksual Maramathat. Trimbakam yajamhe sugandhin patitensam. Urvarukamiv Bandhanadito Muxial Mamut.

The seventh chapter is named ‘Jata’, some mantras of this chapter are utilized in other Hindu.

The eighth chapter is named ‘Chamkadhyay’, it’s 29 mantras. Prayer of our favourite things to Lord Rudra has been through with the repetition of the words ‘Cha Me Cha Me’ meaning ‘This too me, this too me’ hence the name ‘Chamkam’. At the top of Rudrashtadhyayi, peace is prayed to varied gods within the 24 mantras of Shanthyadhyay, and within the 12 mantras in Swasti-Prathnamantradhyay, Swasti we pray for health and Conclusion of the Pooja.
